The phone case did not fit my 17 Pro Max at all

Very beautiful little pouch to hold my keys and coins. I have purchased 1 other pouch before and very happy with both purchases.
It appears to be a very nice case ..but unfortunately I accidentally ordered the wrong size .. I have an IPad model #: A1954. It measures 9.7. I believe it’s the 6th generation .. I did not see the 6th generation size when I ordered . I accidentally got confused and ordered the 7.9 . But when that case arrived is was to small . I did not open the package . I could see it was to small . I did not realize it is $20.00 to mail back . So I was just going to keep and give it away if I can . But if there is something you can do to help in an exchange for the 9.7 size , same color . That would be greatly appreciated. It was my fault in confusing the 9.7 and 7.9 in my head. Thanks for your attention.
